The Major Paint Correction service is for clients who want an extensive transformation on their car. Very similar to the Minor Correction, however we spend more time on the cutting stage, aiming to permanently reduce the surface defects by around 90%, these include wash marring, previous machine polishing holograms, bird etching, fine scratches; as well as deeper scratches.
To achieve this we first use a suitable cutting compound and cutting pad, as well as various machines. Once the initial cutting stage is complete, we do our second stage, which is our refinishing stage. It is at this point we start to enhance the gloss and clarity of the paint. Our final stage is using the finest finishing polish. This helps to deepen the gloss to the highest level and maximise the paint transformation as a whole. Once we have completed the finishing stage, we remove any oils and remaining polish, with dedicated panel wipe, to leave the true finish of the cars paint.
We are now at the stage where we protect the car with your preferred protection. There are a few options; firstly, we can apply a luxurious, durable wax. This will give up to 6 month’s worth of protection. Alternatively we can apply ceramic coating which gives between 18 months and 7 years of protection on the paint from Gtechniq.
